Getting lost in Dessau Süd

The chronicles of my mindless bike rides

What do you think about getting lost?

Will I ever go back to train? I'd love to, but I wouldn't like it if this was the subtle way of my mind to avoid adventures,

In any case, after some time, I decided to hit the road, as my energy level was not enough for this one yet. After all, I went on my bike on this day to help me wake up more actively, so, I decided to keep on going searching for new curiosities.

I am also wondering if that is one way my mind avoids adventures by convincing me that "this is not what I am looking for now, I should keep going until I find something else." but usually this is why I have a load of unfinished works cause my mind never naturally prioritize the things at hand.

It's the natural tendency of my mind.

Like yesterday, for example. I took the bike out just because it was sunny, I had no plan but to enjoy a good "roam around". As I arrived at the skate park near the locally famous tower, I found that there was a small mountain biking trail just beside it. I immediately went on it and started to go around. I was a bit hesitant with the stunts, but also very excited to discover such a spot. Ever since I was a kid, I used to watch these bikers & skaters on the internet & I just really really wanted to do these kinds of edgy stunts, but when I was there, I told myself the usual thing that I say:

"Aah, that's so nice, but I am not experienced enough. maybe it's nice to go easy now, and later I can come to train."

Next Stop: Dessau Sud.

I headed south as I remembered there was a job agency that my flatmate told me about.

DPS. "All the way after Sud." as Ary said. again this time I was not sure if I go in to apply if I arrived or not. I felt not ready, but I was in my pajamas, I looked messy, and I felt messy. I needn't look deeper for excuses, it was Saturday, I remembered. So, we decided, my mind and I, that this ride south was just a curiosity ride, i didn't have much planned for the rest of the day, so I just decided to do what I like to do the most,

"get lost, & follow your curiosities"

and whenever there is curiosity, there is a photography spree.

The road to the south is pretty straightforward, just one way:

----> south

In these places, I find myself the most curious, as I start to pay attention to details. Here you could find raw individual styling in every corner, as I feel that in these parts where there is not much excitement happening, the people create their excitement, whether by decorations, motifs, or just some subtle details.

what I found interesting was the change of mood that every other block had, starting at the "busy" city center, then moving towards a more local commercial district then slowly arriving to more rural suburbs where there is not much happening around.

I found this subtle individualistic detail to be very evident at this Bauhaus housing that I stumbled upon by coincidence on my way back. I took another path going back from Dessau Sud and I passed by this street that was full of carbon copy houses.

In this street, the houses were carbon blocks stapled together, but for some reason, every house had its individually styled entrance.

What caught my attention was one site that was under renovation at the beginning of that road where there was a sign indicating that this is a Bauhaus site.

I think I am lost again.
